The 2012 Game Plan: Less Is More

I heard a good quote a few months back:

“If you have more than 3 priorities then you you don’t have any.” – Jim Collins

True, no?

Last year I tried doing too much.

Read Outliers (affiliate).  Takes 10,000 hours to become an expert.  What do you love?  Are you willing to put in the time to rule that market?  If not, don’t bother.

The good thing is that you can’t do a bunch of other sh*t if you want to become an expert at that one thing.  Especially if you plan on providing a great service to others thru it and get paid for it.  This is good news.

For Me, It’s All Apps

I figured it out.  I want to kill the app game.  And I want others to do it with me.

So I’ve figured out my 3 priorities (all appie):

1. My Personal Apps

Pay Up™, WakeUUUP™, Save Skating™, Life Listr™, and many more to come.

8-10 apps over the course of the year.  Incredible design and user experience, on-time shipping, marketed wisely.

2. The Berzapp Lab

Check us out here.  We make apps for other people.  More than that, we grill them and help thrash it so there is going to be no doubt to it being exceptional.

3. DaneHomenick.com

Grow a strong community of app developers who learn, help, encourage, and have fun with each other.  I want this blog to be a great place for that.  As well as my Facebook Page.

I’m also creating products (free & paid) to help newbies and vets in on all my testing and experience.

Fun/Travel/Learning

I want to learn and do the following this year:

• Get laser eye surgery
• Fix my busted ankle so I can kickflip no brace, right out the whip
• Travel a ton
• Learn Mandarin
• Learn the harmonica & guitar
• Hammer out as many life list items as possible
